Home Visits During Covid-19 Pandemic
Are you struggling with pain at home but worried about attending a physiotherapy appointment in a clinic? As new guidance around COVID-19 emerges it can be difficult to know the right thing to do.
Sammy Margo Physiotherapy is pleased to offer a domiciliary service to patients requiring physiotherapy at home. We are able to extend this service to those who would usually come to see us in clinic but are unable to during these times. A member of our specialist physiotherapy team can visit you to provide assessment and treatment from the safety of your home.
In compliance with government guidelines, your Physiotherapist will be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the duration of your appointment. This may include single-use non-latex gloves, apron, medical grade face mask and eye protection. The purpose of PPE is to protect you and our therapists.
We have risk assessed our Physiotherapists mode of transport, technology and equipment. Your physiotherapist will wash their hands before and after your session with soap and water or alcohol gel. Any equipment used will be disinfected prior to and following use. This includes office equipment and technology such as pens or phones which may be used to manage your appointments.
As a further safety measure, all our Physiotherapists have daily temperature checks.
During these unprecedented times, it is important to continue looking after yourself and your body. Spending more time at home can bring about its own pressures and we are committed to help provide relief to those who are suffering from injury or pain in the best way that we can.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or if you feel you could benefit from physiotherapy at home.
